The Scholastic Book Fair is here!
Eagle Charter Scholastic site!
On this families can see our goal, shop on the online sale after the fair is over, look over a smaller preview of some of the books, see the dates for the fair, and set up an eWallet for the fair. The eWallet allows families to digitally send money with their students that they will be able to use at the fair.

"Reading gives us someplace to go when we have to stay where we are." -Mason Cooley
My intent for EAGLE library is to give students a place where they can explore books. To expand their horizons by discovering the joy that can be found in reading books from a variety of genres. To give students the opportunity to check out books from an updated and diverse selection of novels to picture books. I am so overjoyed that I get the privilege of running the EAGLE library and to help its students with their reading needs.
Thank you!

Information From Eagle's Library Class!
Starting this year, every EAGLE student will be bringing home a library calendar. This will contain information on when book checkout/return days will be; in addition to when all overdue/missing books will need to be returned to avoid lost book fines. My hope is that every EAGLE student will know in advance when they need to return their checked out books to the library, making it easier for parents.
Feel free to check Dojo periodically, as I will be posting parts of the Library calendar to it (depending on which month it is).

My Book Recommendations!
"Artemis Fowl" by Eoin Colfer - a well written book, sadly the movie didn't do it justice. Has fairies, trolls, elves, humans! Need I say more. I have always enjoyed reading this book, as well as each book in the series.

"The Ghost of Midnight Lake" by: Lucy Strange. This is a recent addition to the EAGLE library. If you like mysteries set in the victorian era, with just a touch of horror, definitely give this book a try.
|
"Snapdragon" by Kat Leyh. This is another recent addition to the EAGLE library, as well as one of the OBOB books for this school year. A great graphic novel about teaching friendship and embracing our own uniqueness/ weirdness.
